OUR STORY
Hakea started with a search for something I couldn't find—swimwear that fit well, stayed put in the surf, and aligned with my style. At the time, the options were either practical but uninspiring or stylish but impractical.
There was a huge gap for functional yet fashionable swimwear — versatile one-pieces, elevated rashguards and bikinis that looked good and felt just as comfortable in the surf as on the sand. Hakea was my way of filling that gap: pieces you can rely on in the water but feel just as good wearing long after the waves.
This brand is deeply personal, a reflection of the things I value most: the ocean, travel, creativity, community and connection. It’s about finding joy in the simple moments—whether it’s catching a perfect wave, soaking in the sun, or pulling on something you feel good wearing.
Through Hakea, I’ve been able to live intentionally, build a community of incredible women, and create pieces that feel like both essentials and small daily pleasures. For that, I’m endlessly grateful.
